As a highly-regarded Financial Planner and trusted adviser, Michael founded MacPhail Kennedy to assist clients across the Midlands in articulating, planning and helping to achieve their retirement aspirations.

After winning a scholarship from Lloyds Banking Group to study Economics and Politics at University College London, Michael entered the financial services industry, acting as a Discretionary Wealth Manager and Stockbroker, before founding MacPhail Kennedy. 

Skilled at developing lasting and valued relationships, Michael has a strong track record in uncovering what really matters to clients once they have cut through all of the other ‘stuff’. So much so, many have suggested he become a councillor as well as a Financial Planner! This enables him to tailor his advice much more effectively, ultimately helping to achieve better outcomes for his clients.

He is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and holds the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. Additionally, he holds the Level 4 Certificate in Securities Advice and Dealing. He has also undertaken Chartered exams in Retirement Income Planning and Financial Planning Process, owing to his focus on supporting clients realise their retirement aspirations.

Michael specialises in pension and retirement planning and has built a client base who mainly consist of those working in the advanced engineering, automotive and manufacturing sectors. He places great emphasis on ensuring that clients feel confident in the financial decisions they make and that we are the best people to help them do this.
